Service Description

Discover the art of hand-block printing in our 4.5-hour Lampshade Workshop at Rixham Jones Interiors. You will make a 30cm Drum or Empire lampshade and you can choose to either block print onto fabric or onto paper. You will be shown all the techniques needed, so this is a very beginner friendly workshop, and you will have time to explore and experiment before designing your paper or fabric. You will then construct your lampshade and if you are making a paper shade you will learn how to add the cotton trim. Other sizes of lampshade are available, if on the day you wish to change your mind you can pay the small difference and choose either a 35cm or 40cm shade.
